We are delighted that Creative Skillset have offered one of our graduates, Kara McAleer, a place on the Trainee Finder scheme for High End Drama as a Hair & Makeup trainee.
Her interviewer, Alyn Waterman, told Kara she was a credit to the MAKUP Academy and that her portfolio (which forms a large part of the training at MAKUP) was the best that he had seen.
Kara comments:
“I recently got called for an interview with a scheme based in the UK, called Creative Skillset. This scheme hires trainees, and then puts them forward for a variety of productions. During the interview, I got really positive feedback about my experience and also my portfolio images. I have now received an email inviting me to become part of the creative skill set team. This is a wonderful opportunity for any trainee and I am so excited to be part of the scheme.
Since completing my course at MAKUP Academy, I have received constant work opportunities in the TV and film industry. I feel that this is all down to the excellent standard of teaching at the Academy. I am in the process of prepping for a film that I will be starting in July. This is so exciting, as I will be assisting the makeup designer, and working on main cast members. I feel the experience that I have received in such a short space of time, is thanks to my wonderful tutor, for teaching me to such a high standard.”
